Tee Runners

Interchangeability of main and cross tees between systems promotes lower inventory requirements and greater field flexibility.

Category:

The Main Runner, often referred to as the Main Tee Bar or Primary Channel, is a typically 3.6m length of ‘T’ shape grid that forms the primary support for the suspended ceiling. The Main Runner is suspended from the top fix (or ceiling above) by a combination of suspension wire and some specialist fixings.

Advantages

  • It is economical and easy to install, using less labor to complete the installation at a minimum time as compared with the conventional extruded aluminum tee system.
  • Interchangeability of main and cross tees between systems promotes lower inventory requirements and greater field flexibility.
  • The straight entry locking feature of the section allows the system to be installed easily within close proximity of the overheads.
  • The system promotes complete designs flexibility and it is capable of sustaining loads normally designed into a suspended tee system (refer to load table)
  • Overlap type of cross tee provides complete flush joint, eliminating gaps between main runner and cross tees and ensuring rigidity at fixtures.
  • In-line cross tees provide true double-lock action.
  • Ceiling suspension grid
  • Fire expansion joint within each length of the main runner.

Please note, that every ceiling is different and plenty of thought should go into the design before work commences, to ensure a safe and efficient installation.
